Chapter One: The Beginning

Hey Friends!

We are going to try something we’ve never done before, BLOGGING / V-Logging this wildflower project co journey in all its entirety. That’s right, we are giving you guys exclusive access to the good, the bad, and the ugly that’s going on behind the scenes.

Since we have been hard at work creating wildflower seed shakers and wildflower kits this year we are also experimenting with new products to make it easier and accessible for you to grow your own native wildflowers ( or take action and seed bomb some disrupted spaces) ! While in the process we also have been having incredible conversations with potential sponsors for The Wildflower Project CO.

We achieved our first sponsorship with Colorado State University’s Sustainability Department and we are proud to work along the side of Dr. Regan Field and her team of students to bring you the magic of Native Wildflowers. How cool is it to have a seat at the table this early in our baby stages! Some goals we hope to achieve with this is, bringing wildflowers as a wildfire mitigation tool when re-planting trees in burn areas to improve tree survival rates, and another huge goal is to plant wildflowers after every music festival that are on natural lands that get destroyed by trash, and foot traffic.

We can’t begin to tell you how refreshing it feels to meet people who are in aligned in the same mission of sustainability and treating Mother Earth with the respect she deserves! More importantly. having a community of supporters to push the wildflower movement is a blessing in itself, so thank YOU who is reading this right now, and thank you to those who believe in this as much as we do!

Let us know if you would like to come out and plant wildflowers with us! We have some spots scoped out around the Fort Collins, Loveland and Windsor area, wildflower seed bomb sessions are set to begin on Earth Day 4/22/2024.

Take care of yourselves, others and the planet we call home.

Love

-Noelani
